Meet at the New Brighton library, 213 Marine Parade, at 12.30pm on Monday 8 July 2024.
We will walk through New Brighton Mall to take a look at the SCAPE legacy artwork, He Toki Maitai by New Brighton artist Jon Jeet.
Then we will return to the library and make a pendant inspired by the sculpture. We finish at 2pm.
This engaging hands-on activity for children and young people will be delivered by SCAPE Public Art’s educator, Sarah Ackerley.
Limited places available. Book early as these workshops fill fast.
Cost: $10 per child + booking fee ($1.50)
Good to know:
- This workshop is suitable for all ages, but younger children may benefit from adult supervision (supervising adults do not need to book).
- He Toki Maitai is located next to the Roy Stokes Community Hall, 146 Seaview Road, which is 600 metres from the New Brighton Library. Participants will walk there and back, weather-dependent.
- There is an identical workshop at 10am.
