This is a 90 minute hands-on workshop for children and young people in response to the sculpture He Toki Maitai by New Brighton artist Jon Jeet.
First, we will watch a short video about the sculpture.
Then we will each make a pendant inspired by the artwork.
The workshop will be delivered by SCAPE Public Art’s educator, Sarah Ackerley.
Limited places available. Book early as these workshops fill fast.
Cost: $12 per child, including booking fee. BOOK NOW
Good to know:
- This workshop is suitable for all ages, but younger children may benefit from adult supervision (supervising adults do not need to book).
- We are running the same workshop twice on 1 October. If one is booked out, try the other.
- If you attended a SCAPE school holiday workshop at the New Brighton library in July, this workshop is identical.
- He Toki Maitai is located next to the Roy Stokes Community Hall, 146 Seaview Road, New Brighton. Public art is free and open to view any time.
