A record number of entries were received for SCAPE Public Art’s 2019 Re:ACTIVATE Aspiring Artists competition, with the winning five to be exhibited in central Christchurch this spring.
The winning students will have their artworks produced and installed for the first time at Hack Circle, on the corner of Cashel and High streets, as part of SCAPE Public Art’s annual Season festival that runs from 5 October to 16 November.
Re:ACTIVATE is a programme that promotes the creative arts by mentoring aspiring artists. This is the fourth year SCAPE has partnered with Lewis Bradford Consulting Engineers to bring it to the city, with support from Christchurch City Council and Christchurch City Libraries.
