Mary-Louise Browne is an artist based in Auckland. She has exhibited widely in public galleries and museums including group exhibitions All Lines Converge, Govett-Brewster Art Gallery (2016), Partner Dance, Auckland Art Gallery (2013), Language Matters, Adam Art Gallery (2000), Word: International Language Artists, Museum of Contemporary Art Sydney (1999) and a solo exhibition Out of Character at City Gallery, Wellington (2000). Permanent public art works by Mary-Louise Browne include Font, a pool at St Patrick’s Square, in Auckland’s CBD, Byword, a series of nine stone benches in Lorne Street, Auckland (2006) and Body to Soul, a stone staircase at the Botanical Gardens, Wellington (1996). Her large basalt path, Meterol, is a permanent work on the Brick Bay Sculpture Trail. In 2010 she undertook an artist residency and exhibition at Taipei Artists Village, Taiwan. Browne is represented by Bartley+Company, Wellington.
