Texts of Epistolary by Zoe Crook (nom de plume: itistwothings) consists of two letters, which were developed in direct response to Memory by Sarah Greig and Idle_FLUX by Courtney Spargo. They are based on epistolary texts, which literally travel from one source to another, just as the Ōtākaro/Avon River does. 

ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Speaking about the work, Zoe Crook says: “Letter writing is a large part of communication. It highlights travelling and exploration – something that public art encourages, particularly the idea of seeing something foreign and then having a new perspective on what is day to day. Likewise, epistolary debases subject; the writer becomes the person written to and vice versa; they are subject and object.”
