Sarah Ackerley is SCAPE’s part-time Education and Community Engagement Manager. Her focus is to work with tamariki, rangatahi, and community groups so SCAPE’s Public Art becomes more accessible to everyone.

Sarah delivers public art lessons wherever best suits the community – often that is in schools, in order to overcome the time, money and logistical challenges that are especially pressing in less well off areas. She is adept at facilitating youth-led art projects, working with Christchurch mural artists, and leads SCAPE’s ongoing collaboration with Christchurch City Libraries.

Sarah worked as an art teacher before taking some time off to be a full-time mum. She also has a background in Fine Arts and likes to hit the skate park in her roller skates when she gets any spare time.
