In this work the figures are drinking laughing and enjoying each other’s company in an imagined queer bar. There are no current permanent queer bars in Christchurch, this works acts as an acknowledgement of the queer community and the hard work they are putting in to create queer nights and spaces, whilst also proposing that we need a permanent venue. – Priscilla Rose Howe
