Local and internationally renowned artists indulged Christchurch with a feast of work for six weeks between 7 October and 18 November 2017.
Popping up all around the city, the artworks were linked via the SCAPE Public Art Walkway and connected by the theme Time in Space (territories and flow). Managing Curator, Heather Galbraith brought together an exciting mix of artworks. Audiences were wowed by giant sculptures, intrigued by some complex themes, and even experienced art in the sky!
An assortment of free interactive activities were on offer in the Season’s public programme – artists spoke about their work and how they made a career out of art, audiences could design and create their own masterpiece alongside other creatives.
There were plenty of opportunities for children and school groups to learn and discover more about art too, through collages, model-making and guided tours.
